Ahlan is found along the eastern side of the Islamic Cairo district. It is to the east of Cairo, and is filled with eateries, souvenir stores, herb stalls, tea vendors, and a lot of mosques as well as cultural artifacts. The school is to the west of the area, about a 10-minute walk through the Khan al-Khalili crafts bazaar.
The school is situated on main street in Islamic Cairo, and there is a bus stop nearby offering service to the school. Bab El Shaariya metro station is the closest station to Ahlan, which is 15 minutes by foot, then the GL3 line stops at this station and stops within walking distance from the neighborhood's main landmarks.
Just from the Khan el-Khalili, is the Al-Azhar Mosque. The Salah Al-Din Al-Ayoubi Castle and Mosque of Muhammad Ali are south from Ahlan, and take around 40-60 minutes by bus depending on the time of day. From here, students can visit the Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan, which is a short walk from the Castle.
The school offers group lessons in standard Arabic, the everyday use of which in Egypt, and a group course in which students learn the difference between them via private Italian lessons.
There are many Ahlan schools across the world, which derive their heritage from the Ahlan World organization. They teach Arabic at all levels to the highest of quality standards.
The Ahlan approach entails learning a language by delving into its history and culture. Ahlan schools often organise extracurricular activities, including local seminars, initiatives with local organisations, and weekly events.
Ahlan describes all Ahlan schools' efforts to create students feel welcomed while learning with them.
The Ahlan Language School was founded in Cairo, Egypt, in 2010.
