LSI in New York is located in the vicinity of lower Manhattan. The area near the school is full of downtown Manhattan's hustle and bustle, with an assortment of restaurants, bars, shops, hotels and cafes.
There are vast numbers of subway stations near LSI, stretching through the city. The World Trade Centre Subway Station is within walking distance of the school. There are lines from here that cross into New Jersey and Newark. There are ferry terminals within walking distance from the school for trips to Staten Island, Governors Island and other places along the coast.
The Empire State Building, Times Square, and the Museum of Modern Art are approximately 25 minutes away by public transport from LSI. Central Park is around thirty minutes from a few subway stations near the university. LSI is approximately 15 minutes on foot from the famous monument in the city, Brooklyn Bridge.
There are both group and private classes available in the general English course, as well as classes that mix group and private classes. Programs exist comprising classes for specific professions, such as teaching, business, law and medicine.These courses focus on the English-language vocabulary that is essential for completing business professionals' endeavors. The LSI Academic Programme was created to help international school students graduate and enter higher education.

LSI has been providing education to adults, juniors, and teaching professionals since 1960. The school LSI Language Studies International was established in 2001.
