Campus Experience is a group of soccer camps that the Real Madrid Foundation offers to boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 17. The aim of the foundation is to give participants an alternative experience through combining sports and education. Campus Experience provides a wide variety of both recreational and educational activities that keep the values of Real Madrid in mind, which include the five ethical pillars of the club: team work, leadership, respect for others, autonomy and hard work.
Qualified Teaching Staff: Children receive quality training from coaches of the Real Madrid Foundation, graduates of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, technical coaches, and support staff. From the education aspect, the organization hires pedagogues, teachers, educators and group leaders to educate children using the club’s five ethical pillars.
Food: Children will receive breakfast, lunch and dinner, with snacks in between meals. The food is overseen by the camp’s dietician to ensure that each meal meets the needs of each child and the requirements of Campus Experience.
Additional activities: Participants of the camp will have the chance to tour the Bernabéu Stadium and do some sightseeing around the city of Madrid.
Sports Training: The program focuses on four main areas: the technical-tactical component, physical and motor skills, health, and values education. Children will be supervised by a technical team of the Real Madrid Foundation. There are two training sessions per day: 90 minutes in the morning and 60 minutes in the afternoon. The content of the training includes techniques, strategies, the various types of kicks, ball control with different parts of the body, driving the ball, shots on goal, combined moves, dribbling and feinting.
Values: Coaches and instructors educate the children on the values of I (leadership, self-control and effort), WE (teamwork), and THEY (respect for others). The values are taught through the group participatory methodology which can be summarized by the concepts of motivation, training, and experimentation. Coaches and instructors will utilize specific activities to effectively teach these concepts to the children.
