Intercultura Costa Rica Spanish Schools were founded in 1993. Their sole purpose is to listen to their students, provide the best teaching and services, and give students the overall experience of the Costa Rican culture. The school gives individuals the opportunity to study Spanish year-round at their historical and cultural locations. Here individuals can attend classes that are are tailored for students to interact with teachers on a personal level. The facility has private and public classes; also classes have age groups ranging from teens to college level for students.
There are also classes for groups and families; so that individuals can learn and share together. In addition to learning Spanish, students can immense themselves into the rich cultural programs. The activities to enhance the learning experience is free; and students can also volunteer. The schools is known for working with individual students and groups from around the world. The school has been chosen by universities such as, Duke and UNC for their study abroad program.

The curriculum is accredited and in most cases will transfer over to American universities. Their homestay program provides a safe home with a family that is a close distance to the school. In addition, the homestay program gives students the opportunity to interact and speak Spanish continuously.
