My Language Break

Independent language travel planning

Learn a language abroad — with a plan built around you.

We are not a school and we do not sell courses. We compare the schools, the cities, the neighbourhoods and the prices, then hand you a plan you book yourself — directly, at the real price, with our negotiated discount applied.

Why choose us

Advisors, not sellers

Most agencies show you the schools that pay them best. We have no schools of our own to fill, so the only thing we optimise for is the trip that suits you.

We compare, you choose

Three or four schools costed side by side, with the trade-offs written down. You see why we ranked them the way we did.

No markup, ever

Nothing passes through our account, so there is nothing for us to inflate. You pay the provider their own price.

Inside knowledge

Sandy has been the student and worked in school marketing. He knows which claims in a brochure mean something.

Neighbourhood level

The right city is half the job. The right street, near the right metro, is the other half.

A person, not a form

One advisor reads your answers and writes your plan. No call centre, no chatbot, no handovers.

We stay reachable

Questions before you fly, and someone to message if something goes wrong while you are there.

How it works

Four steps, and none of them cost you anything

Step 1

Tell us what you want

Five minutes of questions about your language, your level, your dates and your budget.

Step 2

We do the comparing

We check accreditation, class sizes, real prices and what students said afterwards — across every school that fits.

Step 3

You get your plan

School options costed side by side, plus neighbourhood, accommodation, activities and paperwork. Revise it as often as you like.

Step 4

You book it yourself

Direct with each provider, at their price, with our negotiated discount applied. We stay on hand throughout.

How we are paid

Every school pays a commission. We give part of ours back to you.

Language schools budget for agency commission whether an agency is involved or not — it is already inside the price on their website. A traditional agency keeps all of it and adds its own margin on top. We keep the part that pays for the planning and hand the rest to you as a negotiated discount.

A traditional agency

You book through them

My Language Break

You book direct, we plan it

What this means on your invoice

You pay the school, the landlord and the airline yourself, at their own prices. There is no invoice from us — nothing passes through our account, so there is nothing for us to mark up.

Popular cities

You do not move to a country. You move to a street.

Madrid

Clear, neutral Castilian and the best evening life for practising it.

Spain · Spanish

Rome

The deepest choice of schools and the strongest B1 exam preparation.

Italy · Italian

Montpellier

Young, sunny and cheap. The best-value serious French in the country.

France · French

Berlin

International, affordable and full of other learners.

Germany · German

Buenos Aires

Theatre, bookshops, football and tango, at South American prices.

Argentina · Spanish

Oaxaca

Small, walkable and famous for food. Very little English spoken.

Types of break

A shape for every life

2 weeks

2 Week Intensive

The classic. Twenty hours a week of group tuition, a host family and a level that visibly moves.

€900–1,800

4 weeks

1 Month Immersion

Long enough for a full CEFR level and for the city to stop being a holiday.

€1,600–3,000

1–6 months

Digital Nomad Package

Lessons that fit around your calls. We check the wifi, the desk and the time-zone overlap.

€1,400–2,600 per month

Student benefits

What you get, beyond the plan

Negotiated rates

Our discount is applied to your own direct booking, not to an invoice from us.

Neighbourhood briefing

Where to live, what it costs, how long the walk to class really is.

School shortlist with reasons

Including the downsides. Every school has one; brochures never mention it.

Timing advice

The same course can cost a third less in a different month, with smaller classes.

Visa and paperwork notes

What you need, when to start it, and which schools issue the letters properly.

Someone to message

Before you go and while you are there. Trips change; plans should too.

Students

In their words

PLACEHOLDER

Student quote goes here — two or three sentences, in their own words, about the plan and what it saved them.

Questions

The things people ask before they trust us

Still unsure about something? Ask us before you fill in anything — we would rather answer than have you guess.

Nothing. We are paid out of the commission the school already budgets for agency bookings — it is inside their advertised price whether you use us or not. We keep the part that covers the planning and pass the rest to you as a discount.

We negotiate a rate with the school and it is applied to your own direct booking, usually as a code or a pre-agreed price on your enrolment form. You still pay the school yourself, at the lower figure.

No. We have no exclusivity agreements, no owned schools and no minimum-volume deals. If the best school for you pays us nothing, that is still the school in your plan.

Tell us what is wrong and we will redo it. If it still is not right, walk away — you have not paid us and you have signed nothing.

We advise on both and tell you what to look for, but you buy them yourself. Booking your own flight almost always beats an agency package.

Two working days for most requests. Complicated ones — visas, families, several cities — take a little longer, and we will say so when we acknowledge your answers.

Spanish, Italian, French and German. We only cover languages we know from the inside.
